Undercover Colors is a new company based out of North Carolina working to prevent sexual assault.  Their recent development is a nail polish that when exposed to the presence of date rape drugs such as GHP, Rohpynol, and Zanax will change colors indicating that something is wrong.

The followign statement is taken from their Facebook page:

Through this nail polish and similar technologies, we hope to make potential perpetrators afraid to spike a woman’s drink because there’s now a risk that they can get caught. In effect, we want to shift the fear from the victims to the perpetrators. We are Undercover Colors and we are the first fashion company empowering women to prevent sexual assault.

Thank you to to Undercover Colors for the innovation and forward thinking to join all of us who work to alleviate the threats of sexual assaults in our communities.  Please support them by following their Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/undercovercolors/info and website http://www.undercovercolors.com/.
