United Way-Kinship and Midwest Bank
On October 9th the fine people at Midwest Bank, in conjunction with the annual United Way Payroll Drive, invited Stephanie and DelRae to talk about LCRC's Kinship program and how funding from United Way of Becker County helps children and youth succeed through Kinship.
The United Way Payroll Drive is always quite successful. Both Midwest Bank and LCRC have high levels of employee participation.
Midwest Bank is another philanthropic organization that promotes employee community service. We are overwhelmed with humble gratitude by their encouragement of Kinship participation and ongoing kind words of support.
LCRC is forever grateful to the United Way of Becker County for helping us grow our youth-related programs. We were proud to be able to promote the Kinship program at the 15th Annual Community Celebration on September 19th.
Lakes Area Kinship Club: The fun continues!
With the Kinship partnership with Becker County 4-H [KINSHIP CLUB], came a lot of learning fun! Thanks to the Gina and Travis Schauer family for providing an educational and memorable excursion at their farm this past July. The kids and their mentors learned about various farm animals by holding, petting, and feeding them. They even got to see a sheep being sheared!
Kinship will be kicking off the holiday season of activities with a float in The Grand Parade of Lights On Monday, December 2nd 5:30 pm along Washington Avenue in Detroit Lakes. The mentors and kids will be dazzling in lights as they partake in the parade.
LCRC offers a way to add a fulfilling dimension to all partici- pants’ lives through its Kinship program. If you are interested in becoming a mentor call Stephanie at 218-847-8572 or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com.
